Death Dealers

.......To us the distant sound of battlefields, the sounds of destruction, mayhem bring the deepest of frowns to our faces, the deepest concern in a Mothers, Wife's heart, but to these dark behemoths from the dark pits of Hell, these sounds mean death and death is their game....they thrill to hear the last groan of a dying man, the agonizing cry of a murdered soul....what more pitiful than these creatures could you find, I bet you none of any ghosts or demons that you know of, could stand up to these....these fiendish denizens of the dark underworld....these creatures are the Death Dealers, and as their name suggests they deal in death, these are the beasts that guide the poor demented souls to the ferryman, to take them to the other side of the River Styx....Hellish creatures they are too, very quick with those blades of theirs, when in the dark of night they stalk the souls to carry to the ferryman, when chance arises they happenstance on a hapless soul that needs just a little finishing touch to help guide them on their way, those long evil axes do their duty, sometimes they have been known to swing the whole night through, with nary a sound of battle or murder to be heard, perhaps their is foul deeds in the air, perhaps they owe the ferryman a tally.....so when out walking in the cold of night, be careful when you feel that shiver bright, along your spine it creeps, just turn your head, maybe once or twice, just to see who lurks in the night.....is it the Death Dealers come too soon, or is it just the wind blowing softly in the full moon.....all I ask is you be aware, cos the Death Dealers...they don't care.....
