Gothams Dilemma

.....It stopped with that unmistakable gravelly voice...."Don't do it Selina, it will haunt you for the rest of your life".....what shocks you at first is not what he says, but where in Hell's Name did that come from.....it all started when the former Batgirl, Barbara Gordon had asked the Bat to keep a eye on her daughter, Selina, cos since the Joker caused the fall that broke her Mothers back, Selina had seethed with inner turmoil......Batman had watched Selina from afar, following her to the various haunts he had staked out so many times before, bringing with it his own sense of is what Selina about to do so wrong..an eye for an eye and so forth, plus Gotham would be so much better of with the Jokers sleazey stench of the sidewalk and in the very Gotham air you breathed, you see him on talkshows, celebrity events in honor of sick children and such, but he didn't care two hoots about our society, he was just looking for his next big score....it finally came down to a Diamond festival at the opening of a new casino, he had carefully watched over Selina, who was a mean gymnast and predator deluxe herself, set up the kill, he had even adjusted some of the wires and ropes she would use to get in and away from the shoot himself...was it just so wrong, the man was prancing around for all to see, everybody knew he did it, but without proof, what can you do, even Batman who seen it all go down needs more evidence that just his voice to convince a jury...."I think just this once I will look the other way, Selina deserves this"....the stage was set, while the Jokers henchmen who he thought were getting ready for the heaist were tied up safely in the back of there own waiting truck....He seen the crowd around him leap up in thunderous applauding, the Joker was moving more to the back, out iof harms way and for a quick getaway no dought, if things went wrong, even with all of this going on, he heard the Sllllllllllleeeeeezzzzzzzz of her gyro gear coming down the wire, she was here with that big 45' pointing smack into the bottom of his head, when the Bat Spoke,,,,She Froze, She fought and thought about the millions of times she was going to do this...this close and Gothams conscience poke up..."Don't do this Selina"......the Joker up until he died, by Batmans own hands funny enough, a killing that still haunts him today, never knew about the intended hit, never knew how close he came to dieing....Gothams Dilemma....Batmans conscience.....
